About this role

Following a successful bid on the Alberta NVIS Forestry contract, Topflight Elite Training & Charter Services is expanding its operational team and seeking experienced NVIS pilots to support night forestry operations on the Airbus H125 in Alberta.

As an NVIS Helicopter Pilot, you will act as a pilot per operation standards, conducting night vision imaging system flights for forestry surveillance and support, and perform any other responsibilities related to the position. This role requires a strong safety culture and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid Transport Canada Commercial Rotary-wing Licence
  • Canadian Pilot Licence - Helicopter (CPL-H) or ATPL (H) required
  • Must hold authorization to work in Canada; this position is not available for sponsorship
  • NVIS endorsement with recent operational experience
  • Experience on the Airbus H125 (preferred)
  • Forestry, utility, or night‑operations experience considered a strong asset
  • Valid Category 1 Medical
  • Ability to work a 2‑and‑2 rotational schedule

Responsibilities

  • Act as a pilot per operation standard for night forestry operations
  • Conduct NVIS (Night Vision Imaging System) flights on the Airbus H125 in Alberta
  • Support forestry surveillance, utility operations, and other night-time missions
  • Complete pre-flight inspections and ensure aircraft readiness for NVIS operations
  • Maintain communication with ground crews and base for coordination of flights
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and crew resource management standards
  • Perform any other responsibilities related to the position as required
