About this role

Allegiant Air Flight Attendants provide extraordinary service to our Customers and fellow Team Members. They are essential workers responsible for the security, safety and comfort of customers, from pre-boarding the aircraft until they arrive at their final destination. Flight Attendants are on the “front lines” in providing quality service and representing Allegiant Air to the public.

Flight Attendants contribute to the smooth functioning of the business by accurately accounting for passengers and the goods they are required to serve them. They promote the sale and usage of products and services offered by Allegiant and specified industry partners. All position responsibilities are performed in accordance with government regulations, including the FAA and TSA.

Flight Attendants perform pre-boarding security checks, conduct pre-flight safety checks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations during routine situations. In unusual conditions like turbulence or emergencies, they take action to maximize safety of customers and crew. They assess customers for signs of intoxication or possible threat and provide direction per company policies.

Candidates must attend a minimum of 4 1/2 weeks of training in Las Vegas, sharing a hotel room with a classmate. Relocation to the domicile after training is at the applicant's expense. The role demands punctuality, reliable attendance, and a professional image per the Flight Attendant Uniform Style Guide.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum one (1) year of direct customer service
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and pass a Criminal Background Check
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to receive instructions and interact with customers
  • Ability to walk comfortably while facing forward down an aircraft aisle
  • Capability to rapidly maneuver and fit through aircraft overwing exits
  • Ability to fit into a jump seat harness without modification and quickly fasten seatbelts

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-boarding security checks of aircraft, customers and carry-on baggage
  • Conduct pre-flight safety checks of cabin area
  • Ensure that customers are seated and carry-on baggage is stored properly
  • Take action during unusual conditions such as decompression, turbulence or medical emergencies to maximize safety
  • Assess and evaluate customers for appearance of intoxication and/or possible threat
  • Serve and sell food, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Provide direction and assistance to customers in accordance with government regulations and company policies
  • Promote the sale and usage of products and services offered by Allegiant
