This role delivers operational leadership and safety governance for all airside works activities. It ensures workforce capability, contractor assurance and regulatory compliance align with Perth Airport’s risk appetite and strategic objectives. Responsibilities cover managing officers, inspections and stakeholder collaboration.

Requirements

  • Aviation operational background with minimum 5 years’ experience in airfield operations and/or airfield works
  • Airport Reporting Officer/Work Safety Officer (ARO/WSO) qualification required
  • Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC)
  • Strong computer and administration skills with exposure to reporting
  • Supervisory experience in a similar role highly regarded

Responsibilities

  • Manage the group of Airfield Operations Officers allocated to airside works including rostering, training and weekly staffing requirements
  • Provide management oversight of Capitalised Labour reporting to ensure expenditure aligns with budget expectations
  • Undertake inspections of movement areas affected by works and at commissioning to ensure serviceable facilities per CASA standards
  • Raise, cancel or extend NOTAMs associated with the works
  • Monitor work sites for wildlife hazards created by works and mitigate risks with Project Manager and Wildlife Specialist
  • Oversee movement of airside works vehicles in and out of the airfield per associated plan
  • Assist with incident and emergency management response affecting works, coordinating with Airfield Duty Manager and Airport Control Centre
  • Work collaboratively with project stakeholders to promote compliance and safety with regulatory requirements and Perth Airport standards
