About this role
As a Part-Time Ramp Agent, you support aircraft ground handling by managing baggage and cargo for safe departures and arrivals. Expect physically demanding tasks like lifting up to 70 lbs. and operating equipment in a dynamic airport setting. Compliance with FAA and company regulations ensures operational efficiency.
Day-to-day duties include pushing and pulling loaded carts, ascending jet-way stairs with baggage, and bending to stack cargo in tight aircraft spaces. Drive tugs to position planes at gates, use belt loaders for baggage, and deliver via bag carts. Clean aircraft interiors and service lavatories between flights.
Work outdoors across all weather conditions, using radios to coordinate with crew and coworkers. Read load sheets, baggage tags, and labels accurately for proper handling. Prepping and securing aircraft prepares it for the next flight seamlessly.

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Must acquire and maintain credentials including fingerprint clearance, airport badging, and background check
- Successful completion of pre-employment process including drug screen, hearing, and vision check
- Available to work any shift including day/night, weekends, holidays; mandatory overtime as needed
- Able to carry, bend, lift up to 70 lbs. and perform physical activities like pushing, stooping, climbing
- Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Lift baggage, boxes, or cargo weighing up to 70 lbs. throughout shift
- Push/pull loaded and empty carts during loading/unloading operations
- Ascend/descend jet-way stairs while carrying baggage
- Bend/stoop and crawl to move and stack/unstack cargo in aircraft
- Drive ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts
- Clean interior of aircraft and service lavatories
- Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, baggage tags, and cargo labels
- Ensure compliance with United and FAA regulations and policies
