
About this role
The Senior Ramp Agent role involves completion of administrative tasks and coordination relating to front-line operations, including data entry, ramp activities, sort activities, trace activities, despatch activities, and local customer service. While operational tasks are included, the majority of time is spent on office-based activities. Lead levels handle escalated or complex issues and coordinate team activities.
Under limited guidance, coordinate all local ground operations for aircraft marshaling, loading, and unloading activities. Ensure trunk aircraft is loaded and unloaded in a safe and efficient manner. Complete all related paperwork and manifests accurately and timely.
Compute proper weight and balance of aircraft before take-off, inspect ground and ramp equipment for safe condition, and drive mechanical ground equipment while instructing personnel. Coordinate flight delays, overflows, cancellations, re-routes, and aircraft servicing with contractors. Lead and provide technical support to cargo handling employees.
Ensure compliance with FedEx policies, rules, procedures, norms, ramp functions, and security procedures. Conform to airport regulations and transportation security administration requirements. Manage hazardous materials labeling, loading, and documentation before departure.
Requirements
- Ability to handle escalated or more complex issues

- Familiarity with design, review, and implementation of processes and procedures
- Proficiency in operating ground handling equipment
- Skills in computing aircraft weight and balance
