Flight Dispatcher

AAR’s purpose is to empower people to build innovative aerospace solutions today so you can safely reach your destination tomorrow. The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program provides global expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing. The Flight Dispatcher supports planning, coordination, and monitoring of domestic and limited international flight operations from the Global Mission Center.

This role assists in flight package development, including data entry for eAPIS and GENDEC, basic weather and NOTAM review, and coordination with vendors and internal teams under supervision. The Junior Dispatcher maintains operational awareness and ensures required documentation is accurate and complete. It supports communication between flight crews and operations personnel.

Operating within the Global Mission Center, the position coordinates with handlers, FBOs, vendors, and internal teams to meet mission requirements. It serves as a point of contact for flight crews, providing operational updates throughout mission execution. Adherence to WASS policies and established procedures ensures compliant operations.

Through guidance from senior staff, this role contributes to safe, efficient mission execution while developing proficiency in international aviation operations. It supports irregular operations including delays and schedule changes. The position builds foundational skills in aviation dispatch for the DoS Bureau of Diplomatic Security.
