About this role

As a Flight Attendant with Summit Air, enjoy Canada’s spectacular North and work with one of the largest and most diverse fleets in the industry. You are responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers during their flight. Flight Attendants provide exceptional customer service, assist passengers during emergencies, and ensure all safety regulations are followed.

Conduct pre-flight safety checks, demonstrate safety procedures, and monitor the cabin for signs of distress. Welcome passengers, assist with seating, serve food and beverages, and maintain cabin cleanliness. Ensure adequate commissary stock is available onboard for the next shift.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience
  • Previous Flight Attendant experience an asset but not required
  • Must stay current and trained on relevant aircraft
  • Able to obtain a Transport Canada security clearance
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces
  • Comfortable working at high altitudes in a pressurized cabin
  • 24/7 availability during the week with shifts that vary and fluctuate due to operational situations
  • English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft through adherence to Company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct pre-flight safety checks and demonstrate safety procedures
  • Monitor cabin for signs of distress
  • Assist passengers during emergency situations such as evacuations or medical emergencies
  • Welcome passengers and engage with them throughout the flight to create a comfortable, friendly environment
  • Assist with seating and serve food and beverages
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the cabin
  • Complete and submit required safety reports and ensure general orderliness of the aircraft
