About this role

Skyborne is the world’s leading airline academy with a pioneering spirit that challenges standard training norms to deliver excellence. We seek a skilled and talented Flight Dispatcher to promote the safe and efficient dispatch of aircraft and flight training devices. Facilitate aircraft line service and maintenance requests from Academy students and instructors.

Complete flight operations building opening and closing procedures in accordance with Operations Command Center Dispatch Manual. Perform daily pre-flight checks on flight training devices. Participate in all Operations Command Center crew briefings and handover shift change briefings.

Maintain overview of all dispatched flights while remaining alert to Operations Command Center functions. Monitor local ATC, CTAF, and company frequencies for training activity. Issue aircraft and devices through Training Management System and fuel cards to students and instructors.

Operate dispatch radio professionally and coordinate line service with Fuel Truck Driver and Maintenance personnel. Ensure discrepancy logs are properly filled for aircraft issues. Work in a fast-paced environment at state-of-the-art facilities, contributing to Skyborne's movement in pilot training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum PPL or Dispatcher License
  • Background working in aviation/airport desired
  • Ability to concentrate and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of MS Access required
  • Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner
  • Pass drug screening, background check, and TSA badging if required
  • Fluency in English with excellent customer service, multi-tasking, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Complete flight operations building opening and closing procedures in accordance with Operations Command Center Dispatch Manual
  • Complete flight training device (simulator) daily pre-flight checks
  • Participate in all Operations Command Center crew briefings and handover / shift change briefings
  • Maintain overview of all dispatched flights and follow Emergency Response Plan procedures for operational contingencies
  • Monitor local ATC, CTAF, and company frequencies to monitor training activity
  • Issue Academy aircraft and flight training devices through Training Management System
  • Issue fuel cards to students and instructors
  • Receive phone and radio calls from flight crews and coordinate with Fuel Truck Driver and Maintenance Department
