At Hawaiian Airlines, flight attendants ensure the safety of guests aboard aircraft by being physically and psychologically capable of performing safety procedures and assisting in emergencies. They work in a fast-paced environment, handling emergency situations and dealing with all types of personalities attentively and pleasantly. Flight attendants attend preflight briefings to review weather, route, emergency procedures, and onboard services, then prepare the cabin for boarding. They greet guests warmly, assist with seating and luggage, and respond to questions throughout the flight. Safety demonstrations cover seat belts, oxygen masks, and life jackets, while monitoring compliance with regulations.

During flights, they deliver food and beverage service per procedures, collect payments for purchases, and prepare the cabin for landing. In emergencies, they direct evacuations, administer first aid, and handle equipment like oxygen bottles and fire extinguishers. Post-flight, they assist with deplaning and complete incident reports.

Requirements

  • Physically and psychologically capable of performing safety procedures and assisting in emergencies
  • Able to handle fast-paced environment and all types of personalities attentively and pleasantly
  • Qualified in Korean language
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Capable of evacuating aircraft in heavy smoke, handling oxygen bottles, fire extinguishers, and emergency equipment
  • Obtain and maintain unescorted access authorization to aircraft and SIDA areas
  • Assist ill passengers and crew members during emergencies

Responsibilities

  • Attend preflight briefings to review flight details, emergency procedures, and onboard services; prepare aircraft cabin for boarding
  • Greet guests warmly, direct to seats, assist with carry-on luggage, and provide courteous service throughout the flight
  • Conduct safety demonstrations on seat belts, oxygen masks, and life jackets; monitor and enforce guest compliance with regulations
  • Direct guests during emergency procedures including evacuations, administer first aid, and complete incident reports
  • Provide food and beverage service, collect and reconcile payments for onboard purchases
  • Prepare cabin for landing, ensure security, and assist with deplaning
  • Complete annual FAA-approved re-certification and maintain knowledge of emergency procedures
  • Collaborate with crew to deliver Aloha experience, escalate issues, and meet physical demands of high-altitude flights and varied schedules
