About this role

Operate Company aircraft as called upon, providing safe, comfortable, and efficient air transportation within established policies and government regulations. This role acts as Pilot in Command or Second in Command, ensuring the safety of flight and airworthiness of company aircraft.

Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing weather, NOTAMs, calculating aircraft performance and weight and balance, and filing flight plans in compliance with FAA and ICAO standards. The Captain also addresses passenger needs such as security, ground transportation, catering, and baggage handling while operating aircraft per Manufacturer and Company SOPs.

This position contributes to the Flight Department’s Safety Management System through active hazard identification and reporting. The Captain trains and maintains certification on Norfolk Southern aircraft while assuming additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Pilot.

Requirements

Minimum 1,500 hours total time; 500 hours multi-engine turbine.
Preferred 6-10 years corporate flying experience; 5,000 hours total time; 2,500 hours multi-engine Jet; recent International Experience.
ATP-CTP completed; valid US Passport; FAA First Class Medical required.
Preferred ATP; CL-604 Type Rating (604/605/650) or EMB-550 Type Rating.
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, Avionics, Air Traffic Control procedures, FARs, and navigational systems and procedures.
Proficiency with EFB use, Arinc, ForeFlight, MS Word, Excel, Teams, and MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

Acts as PIC or SIC, ensures safety of flight, airworthiness of company aircraft, and meets passengers’ needs.
Reviews weather, NOTAMs, and calculates aircraft Performance and Weight and Balance.
Files flight plans and ensures compliance with FAA regulations and ICAO standards.
Operates aircraft in compliance with Manufacturer and Company SOPs.
Addresses passenger needs such as security requirements, ground transportation, catering, and baggage handling.
Contributes to the Flight Department’s SMS through active participation and hazard identification and reporting.
Trains and maintains certification on NS aircraft.
Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Pilot.
