The Executive - ARFF (Watch Tower Controller) assists in developing, delivering, and documenting ARFF training programs to ensure personnel meet ICAO, CAA, and airport standards.
Daily duties include participating in emergency responses to aircraft incidents, conducting patrols and inspections for safety risks, and assisting with pre-flight checks on ARFF vehicles and equipment. Personnel maintain readiness by restocking firefighting gear and reporting malfunctions for quick resolution.
In a collaborative environment, support the Duty Manager in executing drills with stakeholders, coordinate shift schedules, and handle communications with departments and vendors. Maintain a clean, organized ARFF station to ensure operational readiness.
Actively engage in training exercises to stay proficient in firefighting and response procedures while collecting data on response times and maintenance for reports. Adhere to safety protocols and SOPs to support regulatory compliance and audits.
Requirements
- Knowledge of ICAO, CAA, and airport-specific safety standards
- Proficiency in ARFF emergency response procedures
- Familiarity with firefighting techniques and equipment maintenance
- Ability to conduct patrols and pre-flight inspections
- Experience supporting training drills and exercises
- Skills in maintaining shift logs and incident reports

Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, delivering and documenting ARFF training programs
- Participate in emergency response to aircraft incidents following established procedures
- Conduct routine patrols and inspections to detect safety risks within airport premises
- Assist in pre-flight inspections of ARFF vehicles and firefighting equipment
- Maintain and restock firefighting equipment and personal protective gear
- Participate in ongoing ARFF training drills and exercises
- Coordinate shift schedules and assist in rostering ARFF personnel
- Assist in collecting data on response times, training exercises, and equipment maintenance
