About this role

As a Part-Time Ramp Agent with United Ground Express in Savannah, you will load and unload aircraft, handling baggage, boxes, and cargo up to 70 lbs. throughout your shift. You may lift over 100 items for a single aircraft while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and United policies.

Daily tasks include pushing and pulling loaded carts, ascending and descending jet-way stairs with baggage, and bending, stooping, or crawling to stack cargo. Drive ground equipment like tugs for pushback, belt loaders for baggage, and bag carts for delivery. Clean aircraft interiors and service lavatories, while reading load sheets, baggage tags, and labels.

Work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions, using radio devices to communicate with co-workers and flight crew. Be available for any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime. Comfortably use computers, mobile devices, and new technologies in a fast-paced airport environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Must acquire fingerprint clearance, local airport badging, and background check
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, hearing and vision check
Available to work any shift, including day/night, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Able to carry, bend, lift up to 70 lbs., stoop, climb, and work in tight spaces
Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
