About this role

Allegiant Air Flight Attendants provide extraordinary service to Customers and fellow Team Members. They are essential workers responsible for the security, safety and comfort of customers from pre-boarding the aircraft until final destination. Flight Attendants represent Allegiant Air on the front lines while accounting for passengers and promoting products.

Flight Attendants perform pre-boarding security checks of aircraft, customers and carry-on baggage. They conduct pre-flight safety checks and ensure passengers comply with safety regulations during routine and unusual conditions like turbulence or emergencies. They serve and sell food, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers.

Team Members work as part of a team under pressure, providing support to crewmembers and leadership per FAA and TSA regulations. They assess situations promptly, exercise good judgment and respond calmly in emergencies. Punctuality and reliable attendance are essential functions.

Applicants attend a minimum of 4 1/2 weeks of training in Las Vegas, sharing a hotel room with a classmate. Relocation to the domicile after training is at the applicant's expense. Standards are articulated during training and ongoing performance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and minimum one year of direct customer service
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the US per Immigration Act of 1986 and pass Criminal Background Check
  • Attend 4 1/2 weeks of training in Las Vegas and share hotel room with classmate
  • React quickly using good judgment and assess situations promptly
  • Walk comfortably facing forward down aircraft aisle and fit through overwing exits
  • Fit into jump seat harness without modification and fasten seatbelts with urgency
  • Basic computer skills, comfortable using tablet, read/write/speak English fluently

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-boarding security checks of aircraft, customers and carry-on baggage
  • Conduct pre-flight safety checks of cabin area
  • Ensure customers are seated and carry-on baggage is stored properly
  • Take action during unusual conditions to maximize safety of customers and crew
  • Serve and sell food, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and goods
  • Provide direction and assistance to customers in accordance with regulations and policies
  • Promote the sale and usage of products and services offered by Allegiant and partners
