About this role

Allegiant Air Flight Attendants provide extraordinary service to Customers and fellow Team Members. They are essential workers responsible for the security, safety and comfort of customers from pre-boarding the aircraft until they arrive at their final destination. Flight Attendants are on the front lines in providing quality service and representing Allegiant Air to the public.

Flight Attendants contribute to the smooth functioning of the business by accurately accounting for passengers and the goods they are required to serve them. They promote the sale and usage of products and services offered by Allegiant and specified industry partners. Position responsibilities are performed in accordance with government regulations, including the FAA and TSA.

Flight Attendants work as part of a team, able to communicate well with people from all walks of life using diplomacy and tact. They relate to other cultures with respect, work under pressure, and assess situations promptly. Exercising good judgment and flexibility is key in this role.

Training is provided for a minimum of 4 1/2 weeks in Las Vegas, with applicants willing to share a hotel room with a classmate. Relocation to the domicile after training is at the applicant's expense if required. Punctuality and reliable attendance are essential functions of the job.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum one (1) year of direct customer service
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the US and pass a Criminal Background Check
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to receive instructions and interact with customers
  • Ability to fit into a jump seat harness without modification or extension
  • Capability to rapidly maneuver and fit through aircraft overwing exits
  • Basic computer skills and comfortable using a tablet

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-boarding security checks of aircraft, customers and carry-on baggage
  • Conduct pre-flight safety checks of cabin area
  • Ensure that customers are seated and carry-on baggage is stored properly
  • Take action to maximize the safety of customers and crew during unusual conditions such as decompression, turbulence or emergencies
  • Serve and sell food, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and goods to customers
  • Provide direction and assistance to customers in accordance with government regulations and company policies
  • Promote the sale and usage of products and services offered by Allegiant
