About this role

Join Jetstar, home to a fleet of more than 80 aircraft including Airbus A320/21 NEO and Boeing 787-8s. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), deliver high-quality maintenance and rectification services. Ensure strict adherence to WHS and Quality policies while working with specialist teams focused on safety, reliability, and service.

Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Operations Manager, carry out maintenance on company aircraft accurately and on time. Oversee quality control for aircraft presentation upon completion and prior to release. Comply with Jetstar’s Safety Management System, training, and regulatory requirements essential for operations.

Work closely with contractors and external service providers, building strong relationships. Demonstrate flexibility to work at various ports including international locations across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Cairns. Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills, RPL report in progress, or equivalent trade qualification in Mechanical, Avionics, Structures under CASA/EASA/CAANZ/UKCAA
  • At least 5 years post-apprenticeship Maintenance experience
  • Experience and/or type ratings with A320, A321 and/or B787 (desirable)
  • Excellent time management skills and proven ability to manage self and others
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Proven commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Proven problem-solving skills handling competing demands under pressure
  • Valid driving licence, ability to obtain Airside Drivers License, hold ASIC with international criminal clearance, and pass Pre-Employment Medical
