During emergencies, flight attendants direct evacuations, administer first aid, and operate equipment like oxygen bottles and fire extinguishers in smoke-filled cabins. Post-flight, they secure the cabin and assist deplaning. They collaborate with crew for seamless service amid varied schedules including evenings and holidays.

Requirements

  • Physically and psychologically capable of performing safety procedures and assisting in emergencies
  • Able to handle emergency situations and deal with all types of personalities attentively and pleasantly
  • Japanese Language Qualified
  • Able to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Obtain and maintain authorization for unescorted access to aircraft and SIDA areas
  • Current knowledge of FAA and airline emergency procedures and regulations
  • Capable of accessing, handling, and operating oxygen bottles, fire extinguishers, and other emergency equipment
  • Assist ill or incapacitated passengers and crew during emergencies including evacuations in dense smoke

Responsibilities

  • Attend preflight briefings to review flight details including weather, route, emergency procedures, and onboard services
  • Greet guests warmly, direct to seats, assist with carry-on luggage, and respond to flight-related questions
  • Demonstrate safety equipment such as seat belts, oxygen masks, and life jackets while monitoring compliance
  • Direct and assist guests during emergency procedures including evacuations and administer first aid
  • Provide food and beverage service, collect payments for onboard purchases including meals and duty-free items
  • Prepare cabin for landing, ensure security, and assist with deplaning
  • Complete annual FAA-approved re-certification and maintain knowledge of emergency procedures
  • Collaborate with crew to deliver seamless guest experience and escalate potential issues
