DO & CO has an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic Dispatcher in Boston. We deliver passion for hospitality culinary delights on banquet floors and in the sky through airline catering, international events, restaurants, lounges, and hotels. Coordinate transportation activities between the main production facility, third-party vendors, and the airport. Manage on-time delivery of products, goods, and services while planning, forecasting, scheduling, and communicating activities. Monitor aircraft arrival and departure timings plus other operational updates.

Supervise, motivate, and assist a large team of drivers and driver helpers, including schedules and documentation. Receive important incoming calls from airline clients and the airport, communicating to respective departments. Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations in varying temperatures.

Requirements

  • Capable to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Requirements necessary to obtain airport ID
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills
  • Team leader qualities and outstanding communication skills
  • Dedication and attention to detail with regards to customer service
  • Solution seeker and effective decision maker
  • Hands-on to ensure all flights are successfully dispatched on time and overcome deficiencies in transportation department
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience in similar role; proficient computer skills particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Complete mandatory airport security clearance process, including TSA and U.S. Customs requirements per 49 CFR §1542.209, to obtain airport-issued identification badge
  • Coordinate transportation activities between main production facility, third-party vendors, and the airport
  • Manage on-time delivery of products, goods, and services
  • Plan, forecast, schedule, and communicate transportation activities; monitor aircraft arrival/departure timings and operational updates
  • Supervise, motivate, and assist large team of drivers and driver helpers, including schedules and documentation
  • Receive incoming calls and information from airline clients and airport; communicate to respective departments
  • Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook
