About this role

Noblis has provided specialized engineering, acquisition, and program management services to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for over 25 years. We seek passionate Air Traffic Controllers / Specialists to support Air Traffic Systems and Surveillance Services directorates within the Program Management Organization. Employees will provide senior level air traffic control system expertise to assist FAA coordination with air traffic requirements and operations personnel.

Provide expert analysis to support development of site implementation and transition planning for National and Regional projects, Facilities and Equipment, and Capital Investment Plan projects. Help identify, analyze, coordinate, resolve, and report resolution of implementation issues generated by these projects. Coordinate support for technical interchange meetings and various program reviews.

Coordinate workgroup activities for En Route and Oceanic program offices while assisting in air traffic requirements development. Assist with requirements verification and tracking for new En Route, Oceanic, and Terminal Air Traffic Control tools and systems. Interface with user teams, system engineers, and other program personnel as necessary.

Contribute to projects that streamline acquisition and deployment of next-generation air traffic management and surveillance systems. Influence FAA's adaptation to future growth and technological shifts for the safest aerospace system worldwide. Requirements

  • Successfully pass an FAA background investigation and verification with successful final suitability determination
  • Air traffic control technical and operational work experience as a domestic or oceanic controller
  • Senior level air traffic control system expertise
  • Subject matter expertise in air traffic control procedures, equipment, facilities, terminology, and technology
  • Ability to communicate complex knowledge of air traffic control to diverse audiences
  • Experience interfacing with air traffic operations personnel, user teams, and system engineers
  • Knowledge of En Route, Oceanic, and Terminal Air Traffic Control systems

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert analysis to support development of site implementation and transition planning for National and Regional projects
  • Identify, analyze, coordinate, resolve, and report resolution of implementation issues from Capital Investment Plan projects
  • Coordinate support for required technical interchange meetings and various program reviews
  • Coordinate workgroup activities for En Route and Oceanic program offices and assist in air traffic requirements development
  • Assist with requirements verification and tracking for new En Route, Oceanic, and Terminal Air Traffic Control tools and systems
  • Assist with identifying potential inconsistencies and usability issues related to ATC system changes
  • Analyze system and subsystem specifications to ensure air traffic operational concerns are addressed
  • Present recommendations and solutions related to short and long-term program planning requirements
