About this role

Plan and monitor the upkeep of movement area, coordinate VVIP movements with PMO/SPG, and issue work permits per regulatory compliance at GVIAL to ensure smooth airside operations. Lead shift team to manage passenger, baggage, and services flow in the Passenger Terminal Building in real time. Act as the eyes and ears of GVIAL while providing support to VIPs and VVIPs.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders during shifts, including GHAs, airlines, ATC, and vendors for airside cleaning. Monitor FOD-free procedures in compliance with ICAO and DGCA regulations. Attend and act on meetings for VVIP movements to handle them effectively.

Manage vendors and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including contract renewals and penalties. Oversee man management, team development, discipline, and grievance resolution. Interact externally with DGCA, PMO, SPG, MEA, Delhi Police, and Indian Air Force; internally with GVIAL P&E, procurement, finance, and more.

Drive suggestions for improving services through new practices, Kaizen, and CIP initiatives. Monitor work permit issuance and discrepancies at GVIAL airside. Foster competencies like personal effectiveness, problem-solving, stakeholder focus, and execution in a team of 7 with secondary staff of 120.

Requirements

  • Post-Graduate Degree in any discipline; PG degree in Aviation Management will be an advantage
  • 12 years and above experience in Airlines / Hotel or facility management
  • Knowledge of ICAO annexures, ACI and relevant IATA Manuals
  • Knowledge and understanding of functioning of Airlines and Airports
  • Working knowledge of all Statutory Rules Labour, Industrial, AAI Act, Aviation Rules, Customs Act and Basic Indian Penal Codes
  • DGR/L&T/World Tracer/Airport Planner/Path Planner will be added advantages
