Jetconnect is a 100% owned subsidiary of Qantas with head office in Auckland and crew bases in Auckland and Wellington. We employ more than 650 people across New Zealand to provide Cabin Crew, Pilots and other aviation services to the Qantas Group. As Duty Crew Controller, you monitor, control and coordinate disruption management, schedule recovery and pro-active planning for Qantas operations.

You manage crew rosters, flight disruptions, crew transport and accommodation for New Zealand based Pilots and Cabin Crew. This fast-paced, dynamic operational role suits confident communicators who love solving problems and juggling priorities. Work full-time on a 24/7 rotating roster based at Auckland Airport, representing New Zealand while flying the Qantas red tail. Requirements

  • Ability to effectively analyze multiple operational issues and formulate solutions within restricted timeframes
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve undertaking a collaborative approach through negotiation and communication
  • Ability to implement, analyze and formulate plans to minimize disruptions
  • General knowledge of airport operations and disruption management fundamentals
  • Ability to work without supervision, think logically and effectively in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts across a 24 hour/7-day roster
