About this role
Summit Air, a member of the Ledcor Group of Companies, is seeking an experienced Dash 8 First Officer to operate our aircraft out of our Vancouver base. We specialize in passenger charters, cargo transport, and customized flight solutions across Canada, with a legacy of excellence in northern and remote aviation.
In this role, you will operate the Dash 8 safely and efficiently while representing Summit Air professionally. Your day-to-day duties include participating in aircraft pre-flight inspections and completing all post-flight duties to ensure operational readiness.

Requirements
- Current Canadian ATPL or written IATRA
- Minimum 1000 hours Total Time, 500 Multi Engine
- Current type rating on the Dash 8 preferred
- Ability to obtain Canadian Area Identity Card (RAIC)
- BC and Mountain experience is a great asset
- Strong commitment to safety culture
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Operate Dash 8 aircraft safely and efficiently, representing Summit Air professionally
- Participate in aircraft pre-flight inspections and all post-flight duties
- Conduct flight planning and coordinate with dispatch for charter requirements
- Monitor weather, air traffic, and aircraft systems during flight
- Ensure compliance with all Transport Canada regulations and company policies
- Assist the Captain in managing cockpit resources and crew coordination
- Complete accurate flight logs and operational documentation
