The Global Flight Planner is responsible for the overall planning and execution of international flights while maintaining high attention to detail, focus, and adaptability to a dynamic flight schedule. This role ensures safe, legal, and efficient operations across global routes. Professionals in this position handle complex logistics for Flexjet's aviation needs.

Day-to-day involves submitting and managing applications for airport slots, PPRs, landing and parking requests, and overflight permits. Coordinators arrange ground handling, fuel, catering, transportation, and special services. Customs and immigration tasks include General Declarations, APIS transmissions, and crew visas.

Collaboration with external agents requires providing aircraft and crew documents for trip planning. Monitoring weather and events that could impact operations is essential, along with verifying aircraft international eligibility. Efficient communication notifies all teams of changes or unforeseen situations affecting flights.

This position demands rapid decisions on safety, regulations, and operational economy. Reporting non-compliance for safety, security, or quality issues supports a proactive environment. Delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders drives operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Understanding and interpretation of applicable international aviation regulations
  • Experience managing airport slots, PPRs, and overflight permits
  • Knowledge of customs/immigration procedures for international flights
  • Ability to verify aircraft eligibility for international operations
  • Proficiency in monitoring weather and operational disruptions
  • Skill in rapid decision-making for safety and regulatory compliance
  • High attention to detail in dynamic flight scheduling environments
  • Familiarity with crew and passenger entry requirements globally

Responsibilities

  • Submit and manage applications for airport slots, PPRs, landing/parking requests, and overflight permits
  • Submit and manage requests for ground handling services, fuel, and other ground arrangements
  • Coordinate customs/immigration including General Declarations, APIS transmissions, and crew visas
  • Ensure crewmembers and passengers meet all entry requirements for visited countries
  • Provide external agents with applicable aircraft/crew documents for trip planning
  • Monitor weather and events potentially impacting aircraft operations
  • Ensure efficient and timely communication on all international flight details
  • Make rapid decisions concerning safety, regulations, and economy of operations
