As a part-time Ramp Agent, handle essential ramp service tasks including loading and unloading baggage and cargo, marshalling aircraft, and water servicing. Focus on safety and attention to detail is crucial in this union-covered role.

Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure, load and unload cargo on and off aircraft, and safely drive ground support equipment like belt loaders and tugs. Perform ground service functions such as connecting ground power units and water service. Conduct aircraft pushback, wing walking, and maintain a secure work environment daily.

Work with teams of cargo, passenger, ramp handling, and technical service experts across 164 airport locations in 18 countries and 5 continents. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with the Transport Workers Union (TWU). Coordinate with team members and flight crews in a fast-paced airport setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy baggage and cargo up to 50 lbs or more
  • Valid Driver's license, must be maintained throughout employment
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and flight crews
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for operating ground support equipment
  • Ability to pass background checks and comply with airport security regulations
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols

Responsibilities

  • Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure
  • Load and unload cargo on and off aircraft
  • Safely drive and operate ground support equipment including belt loaders and tugs to pick-up and deliver cargo
  • Perform ground service functions such as connecting/removing ground power and ground start units and water service
  • Perform aircraft pushback, wing walking and related guide man functions
  • Maintain a secure work environment
