The Executive - ARFF supports daily fire and rescue operations, performance improvement, training programs, equipment management, and represents the department on industry matters. This role ensures compliance with global standards in aviation safety.
Daily responsibilities include assisting in developing theoretical and practical training for ARFF personnel, such as live fire simulations and hazardous material handling. Schedule sessions to minimize airport disruptions and lead drills simulating real-world emergencies. Observe trainee performance to provide feedback and ensure competency standards.
Collaborate with ICAO-certified trainers, airport authorities, and government agencies to align training with safety requirements. Maintain records of attendance, certifications, and compliance with ICAO, CAA, and airport standards. Manage logistics like scheduling trainers, booking venues, and preparing budgets.
Continuously research ARFF regulations, firefighting techniques, and best practices to update training content. Participate in industry workshops and conferences for latest developments. Support emergency response drills in coordination with airport operations to enhance preparedness.
Requirements
- Knowledge of ICAO, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and airport-specific ARFF standards
- Experience in delivering ARFF training including live fire simulations and rescue operations
- Familiarity with hazardous material handling and airport firefighting best practices
- Ability to lead practical drills simulating emergency scenarios for firefighter proficiency
- Proficiency in assessing trainee performance against competency standards
- Skills in documentation for internal audits and external compliance reviews
- Understanding of safety protocols and emergency preparedness in airport environments
Responsibilities
