About this role

For over 25 years, Noblis has provided specialized engineering, acquisition, and program management services to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). We seek passionate Air Traffic Controllers / ATC Specialists to support Air Traffic Systems and Surveillance Services directorates within the Program Management Organization (PMO). Employees provide senior level air traffic control system expertise to assist FAA coordination with air traffic requirements and operations personnel.

Provide expert analysis to support development of site implementation and transition planning for National and Regional projects. Identify, analyze, coordinate, resolve, and report resolution of implementation issues from Capital Investment Plan projects. Coordinate technical interchange meetings, program reviews, and workgroup activities for En Route and Oceanic program offices.

Assist with air traffic requirements development, verification, and tracking for new En Route, Oceanic, and Terminal tools and systems. Identify inconsistencies and usability issues related to ATC system changes. Interface with user teams, system engineers, and program personnel while demonstrating subject matter expertise in procedures, equipment, facilities, terminology, and technology.

Requirements

  • Air traffic control technical and operational work experience as a domestic or oceanic air traffic controller in an En Route & Oceanic or Terminal operational environment
  • Relevant training and/or certification in air traffic control
  • Subject matter expertise in air traffic control procedures, equipment, facilities, terminology, and technology
  • Experience providing senior level air traffic control system expertise
  • Knowledge of En Route, Oceanic, and Terminal air traffic operations
  • Ability to communicate complex air traffic control knowledge to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert analysis to support development of site implementation and transition planning for National and Regional Facilities and Equipment and Capital Investment Plan projects
  • Identify, analyze, coordinate, resolve, and report resolution of implementation issues generated by Capital Investment Plan projects
  • Coordinate technical interchange meeting support and various program reviews
  • Coordinate workgroup activities for En Route and Oceanic program offices and assist in air traffic requirements development
  • Assist with requirements verification and tracking for new En Route, Oceanic, and Terminal Air Traffic Control tools and systems
  • Identify potential inconsistencies and usability issues related to ATC system changes
  • Analyze system/subsystem specifications to ensure air traffic operational concerns are addressed and all technical requirements are included
  • Present recommendations/solutions related to short and long-term program planning requirements
