About this role
Passenger Service Ramp Agents meet and greet customers with tickets and provide assistance to passengers as requested. They monitor ticket counter and self-service check-in queue activity. Agents assist with ticketing, boarding processes, gates, and baggage service.
Provide ground support for inbound and outbound aircraft, including baggage handling, mail and freight handling, and aircraft servicing. Drive motorized equipment and perform cleaning of aircraft interiors. Ensure smooth operations in terminal areas throughout shifts.
Greet passengers, clients, and airline personnel courteously while providing general information, directions, and flight details. Actively participate in the company's safety management system. Direct oversized luggage and summon security for difficult passengers as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, keep supervisors informed of issues, and project a positive image. Attend required meetings and inservices while adhering to company policies. Utilize equipment and resources conscientiously in a professional aviation environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Computer experience necessary
- Previous Customer Service experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Must be able to stand/walk in terminal area throughout the scheduled shift
- Must be able to consistently push, pull and lift 50 to 70 lbs
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests and complete a criminal background check
Responsibilities

- Read and understand letters and numbers to accurately pre-screen passenger tickets and determine destinations
- Provide general information to passengers, give directions and flight information
- Assist with ticketing, boarding process, gates, and baggage service
- Provide ground support including baggage handling, mail and freight handling, aircraft servicing, driving motorized equipment, and cleaning aircraft interiors
- Actively participate in the company's safety management system
- Direct large pieces of luggage, pets and other checked articles to oversize
- Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems, maintain cleanliness of work area
