About this role
Allegiant Air Flight Attendants provide extraordinary service to Customers and fellow Team Members. They are essential workers responsible for the security, safety and comfort of customers from pre-boarding the aircraft until they arrive at their final destination. Flight Attendants are on the front lines in providing quality service and representing Allegiant Air to the public.
Flight Attendants perform pre-boarding security checks of aircraft, customers and carry-on baggage. They conduct pre-flight safety checks of the cabin area and ensure passengers are seated with baggage stored properly. During unusual conditions like turbulence or emergencies, they take action to maximize safety of customers and crew.
They serve and sell food, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while promoting products from Allegiant and industry partners. Responsibilities follow government regulations including FAA and TSA, as articulated in training and ongoing performance. They accurately account for passengers and goods served.
Flight Attendants work as part of a team, communicating with people from all walks of life using diplomacy and tact. They exercise good judgment under pressure, respond calmly in emergencies, and maintain punctuality and reliable attendance. A professional image with neat, well-groomed appearance is required per the Uniform Style Guide.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum one (1) year of direct customer service
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Authorized to work in the US per Immigration Act of 1986
- Pass a Criminal Background Check
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to receive instructions and interact with customers
- Ability to walk comfortably facing forward down an aircraft aisle and fit through overwing exits
- Basic computer skills and comfortable using a tablet
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-boarding security checks of aircraft, customers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct pre-flight safety checks of cabin area
- Ensure customers are seated and carry-on baggage is stored properly
- Take action during unusual conditions to maximize safety of customers and crew
- Serve and sell food, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Promote the sale and usage of products and services offered by Allegiant and specified industry partners
- Provide direction and assistance to customers in accordance with government regulations and company policies
- Accurately account for passengers and the goods they are required to serve
