About this role
Unifi, the largest aviation services provider in North America, is seeking to make immediate hires on our Ramp team. As an Airport Ramp Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of aircraft on the ground. Your work supports smooth airport operations at Toronto Pearson (YYZ).
Primary responsibilities include loading and unloading baggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft. Ensure proper weight distribution and adherence to safety protocols during handling. Guide planes to and from gates using standard marshaling signals.
Perform various ground support tasks such as operating tugs, belt loaders, and chocks. Work part-time across A.M., P.M., and overnight shifts, seven days a week. Collaborate with ramp team in dynamic outdoor airport environment.
Join Unifi Aviation Canada in Ontario for hands-on aviation ground handling. Contribute to efficient aircraft turnaround in a fast-paced setting. Build skills in essential ramp operations at a major hub.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds repeatedly
- Valid driver's license for operating ground vehicles
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and move for extended shifts
- Pass airport security and background checks
- Able to work flexible shifts including overnights
- Safety-focused with attention to weight and balance procedures
- Familiarity with aviation ground handling equipment
Responsibilities
- Load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft
- Ensure proper weight distribution and adherence to safety standards
- Guide planes to and from gates
- Operate ground support equipment like tugs and belt loaders
- Marshal aircraft using hand signals
- Chock and unchock aircraft wheels
- Perform aircraft servicing tasks including lavatory and water
- Facilitate smooth operation of airport activities
