As Canada's largest helicopter operator with nearly 100 aircraft, the company offers an opportunity for a Captain and First Officer on the S76 supporting Air Ambulance Operations.

Captains act as pilot-in-command on IFR flights in challenging and rapidly changing conditions while responding efficiently to aircraft tasking. They maintain high safety standards through coordination with crew and dispatch during customer-focused operations.

First Officers support flight duties according to company standards in a shift-based environment based in Halifax. Both roles require close collaboration with medical teams and dispatch in a dynamic air ambulance setting.

Requirements

  • Valid Canadian passport or authorization to work in Canada and travel to USA
  • Valid Class 1 Medical
  • Ability to complete Controlled Goods Security assessment for NVG
  • Immunization records with required vaccinations
  • Captain: Valid unrestricted Transport Canada ATPL(H) License with 2000 hours rotary wing time
  • Captain: 500 hours PIC including 200 hours multi-engine and 2 years IFR experience
  • First Officer: Valid ATPL or ATPL written exams within 12 months and Commercial Rotary-wing License
  • First Officer: Transport Canada Group IV Instrument rating and unrestricted Night Rating

Responsibilities

  • Act as Captain as per Company operation standards on S76 aircraft
  • Perform IFR flights in challenging and rapidly changing environments
  • Respond efficiently to aircraft tasking while maintaining high safety levels
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively between crew and dispatch
  • Complete all duties assigned by the Chief Pilot or Base Manager
  • Act as pilot as per Company operation standards
  • Support air ambulance operations with customer focus and safety priority
