As a Ramp Agent, you will be essential in ensuring that flights run on time by providing efficient ground support services. You will guide inbound and outbound airplanes to and from the gate while transporting, lifting, loading, unloading, sorting, and transferring passenger baggage, cargo, and mail. Safeguard customer property from weather, loss, theft, damage, or destruction. Operate heavy equipment like pushback tugs, belt loaders, and lavatory carts to move luggage, tow planes, and service aircraft.

Requirements

- Cooperate with manager/supervisor to comply with legal requirements

- Physically capable of lifting, transporting, and operating heavy ground equipment in outdoor aviation environment
Responsibilities
- Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate
- Transport, lift, load/unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loader, or baggage carts in a safe manner
- Safeguard customer baggage, air cargo, airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage and/or destruction
- Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies
- Operate heavy equipment such as pushback equipment and maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure the equipment is free of any danger
- Operate and drive motorized equipment such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back tugs, bag carts, lavatory carts, and deicers
- Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials as required
- Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, including wheelchairs, strollers, live animals, and prepare records
