AirAsia

Kuala Lumpur, MY · Full-time · MYR 48,000 – MYR 84,000

About this role

Flight Dispatchers ensure safe and legal flight planning for all AirAsia flights, including payload estimation, MEL/CDL, ETOPs requirements, and operating environment considerations. They prepare timely crew briefs with flight plan filing, weather, NOTAM, and other critical information for safe operations.

Daily tasks involve monitoring and updating the Operations system and Flight Following System. They maintain weather and NOTAM watches, alerting crews to changes, and escalate deviations or loss of aircraft tracking.

Dispatchers monitor ATC slot times, explore reroute options for delays over 15 minutes, and adjust for A-CDM airports. They delay flight plans and revise slots during disruptions, recommending aircraft programme allocations for regulatory compliance.

In a 24/7 shift rotation, they handle disruption recovery planning to maintain schedule integrity within safety and cost constraints. They review take-off and landing performance limitations and own actions to enhance safety, efficiency, and payload per flight.
