KBR’s Missile, Aviation, and Ground Systems division delivers mission engineering solutions for critical U.S. Army programs, specializing in aviation and ground systems. We are seeking a highly skilled and mission-driven UH-1 Helicopter Pilot to support the Foreign Military Sales Training Program at Fort Hood. This role provides aerial operational and logistical support to rotational FMS training units.

You will execute a variety of flight missions including range sweeps, aerial fire suppression, hazard reconnaissance, and logistical transport. Work closely with ground personnel, training coordinators, and maintenance teams to ensure aircraft readiness. Contribute directly to the success and safety of military training operations.

Operate in dynamic environments supporting international military partnerships and readiness. Collaborate with ground and training personnel to meet mission objectives. Maintain compliance with all flight safety regulations and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • FAA Commercial Pilot License with Rotorcraft-Helicopter rating
  • Minimum of 1,000 flight hours in rotary-wing aircraft, including UH-1 or similar platforms
  • Ability to pass a flight physical (Class 2) and maintain medical clearance
  • Familiarity with military flight operations and safety protocols
  • Prior military aviation experience, especially in support of training or operational missions
  • Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs
  • Knowledge of aerial fire suppression and range safety procedures
  • Instructor Pilot or Standardization Pilot certification

Responsibilities

  • Conduct range sweeps and aerial reconnaissance to ensure safe training environments
  • Perform pre-soaking of firing points to support live-fire exercises
  • Execute aerial fire suppression missions as required
  • Conduct hazard reconnaissance of training areas to identify and report safety concerns
  • Provide logistical support via air transport to FMS training units
  • Maintain readiness and availability of aircraft in coordination with maintenance teams
  • Ensure compliance with all flight safety regulations and operational procedures
  • Collaborate with ground and training personnel to support mission objectives
