About this role

Air New Zealand has a permanent opportunity for a Crew Controller to join our team based at our Auckland Airport Campus. This is a shift position on a 6 days on, 3 days off roster pattern. The Crew Control team develops and coordinates short-term operational crewing plans for the jet network.

Ensure all flights are correctly crewed in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements. Timely and efficient crewing of flights helps achieve customer service standards and required profitability. Stay calm and optimistic to provide optimised crewing solutions during flight disruptions.

Requirements

  • Experience in a rostering or resource planning role or experience in operations
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
  • In-depth understanding of airport processes concerning achieving network performance and flying operations
  • Ability to stay calm and optimistic during disruptions
  • Strong problem-solving skills for operational challenges
  • Familiarity with aviation regulatory and contractual crewing requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate short-term operational crewing plans for Air New Zealand's jet network
  • Ensure all flights are correctly crewed in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Provide optimised crewing solutions during flight disruptions
  • Solve operational problems to achieve great outcomes for business and customers
  • Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Monitor crew availability and adjust rosters for network performance
  • Coordinate crewing to meet customer service standards and profitability
