The Certifying Engineer, headed by the Lead Aircraft Engineer, is part of the operations leadership group. This role involves performing or supervising work on aircraft or components while promoting open communication with related departments.

Perform maintenance on aircraft, engines, avionics, and components in line with company policies, OEM technical instructions, and NAA requirements to meet customer quality expectations. Conduct inspections, adjustments, repairs, and component replacements with or without power applied. Access and reinstall obstructing components, and handle basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations.

Document all work per quality procedure manual and assist with tasks like cleaning aircraft, fueling, and securing ballast or freight. Support Aircraft Technicians in troubleshooting and repairs, including detached components such as flaps, ailerons, and rudders. Work across aircraft and component shops, handling complex repairs on-site and off-site.

Requirements

  • Minimum Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License with at least 3 years signing off in Singapore, CAAS licensed preferred and experience in performing aircraft heavy/line maintenance
  • Hold College/Diploma and/or equivalent academic qualification
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance work on aircraft, engines, avionics, and aircraft components in line with company policies, OEMs technical instructions, and NAA requirements
  • Perform inspection, make adjustment and repair, replace components and correct any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied
  • Access and re-install aircraft components which obstruct the performance of assigned tasks
  • Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installation
  • Document work performed per quality procedure manual
  • Assist Aircraft Technicians in troubleshooting and repairing of aircraft
  • Work on aircraft as well as in component shops
  • Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification
