About this role
This is an exciting role in the TUI Operations Control Centre (TOCC) with accountability for the operational planning, delivery and control of airline operations. Using key systems, it requires active management of the TUI Airline fleet and supervision of Airline Operations Controllers to ensure tasks are carried out competently.
Report directly to the TOCC Network Operations Manager to provide support and solutions during disruptions. Liaise closely with internal TOCC colleagues in Crewing, Customer and Engineering teams, and external partners including the Group Operations Centre in Hannover and service providers across the network.
The TOCC operates on a 24/7 basis, 365 days per year, with shift-based patterns covering day (7am-7pm) and night (7pm-7am) shifts, including Bank Holidays. Shift patterns may change in line with business requirements.

Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of airline operating programmes, customer profiles, privileges, SLAs and AOC approvals
- Expertise in active fleet management and 24-hour operational control in aviation
- Experience responding to irregularities, disruptions and special operations in airline contexts
- Strong relationships with senior aviation management, Nominated Persons and operational stakeholders
- Familiarity with regulatory authorities, airport operations and local airline geographies
- Ability to supervise, coach and support Airline Operations Controllers during shifts
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for active fleet management of the TUI Airline fleet as required by the on-shift Network Operations Manager, maintaining 24-hour operational control and responding to disruptions
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the operating programme, customer profile, SLAs and AOC approvals, acting as a source of expertise for the on-shift Network Operations Manager
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior management including Nominated Persons of TUI Aviation AOCs and Market operational teams, participating in operational calls with stakeholders
- Monitor and advise the on-shift Network Operations Manager on irregularities or disruptions in the flying programme and recommend solutions to mitigate impacts on performance and customer experience
- Understand and provide advice to the Network Operations Manager on local government, airport authorities, regulatory authorities, handling agents and tour operators in airline geographies
- Provide guidance, coaching and support for TOCC Airline Operations Controllers, working closely with the team
