About this role
Walmart’s Aviation team transports associates across the globe, focusing on safe, reliable, efficient, and flexible travel experiences. In this role, you'll work closely with scheduling, maintenance, crew, and leadership to plan aviation trips comprehensively. This includes aircraft selection, airport choices, lodging, transportation, weight and balance, and fuel considerations.
Daily tasks involve arranging ground handling, airport slots, and fueling per company policies. You'll prepare flight packages with operational plans, weather briefings, charts, NOTAMs, performance data, ETOPS, and hazard mitigation. Maintaining knowledge of laws, regulations, SOPs, and best practices ensures compliant operations.
Conduct risk analyses by monitoring weather, crew fatigue, airport complexity, and equipment needs while ensuring regulatory compliance. Handle irregular operations, provide emergency support, and exercise authority over flight decisions during after-hours coverage. Review changes to guarantee safe mission completion for crews and aircraft.

Requirements
- Positive mindset and problem solver’s attitude.
- 3+ years experience as a licensed flight dispatcher or professional pilot with expertise in domestic and international operations.
- Familiarity with scheduling software platforms and flight planning software.
- Knowledge of applicable aviation-related laws, regulations, and company standard operating procedures.
- Ability to prepare flight packages including weather briefings, NOTAMs, performance data, and ETOPS documentation.
- Proficiency in conducting operational risk analyses for weather, crew fatigue, and airport conditions.
- Experience handling irregular operations and providing emergency response support.
Responsibilities
- Model compliance with company policies and procedures while supporting the mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Work closely with scheduling, maintenance, crew, and aviation leadership to plan aircraft selection, airport selection, lodging, transportation, weight and balance, fuel loads, and fuel pricing.
- Arrange ground handling services, airport slots, and fueling plans for all flights as required by company policies.
- Prepare international and domestic flight packages including operational flight plans, weather briefings, charts, NOTAMs, performance data, ETOPS, and other relevant documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aviation laws, regulations, company SOPs, and industry best practices to ensure compliant operations.
- Conduct operational risk analyses by monitoring weather, crew fatigue, airport complexity, terrain, and equipment needs.
- Handle changes to flight plans, coordinate irregular operations, provide emergency response, and offer guidance for non-scheduled maintenance.
- Review daily operational changes, make decisions on equipment, crews, and airports, and brief flight crews on changes.
