About this role

Are you ready to take off and start a new and exciting career in the aviation industry? Executive Aviation is hiring Ground Handlers at the Saskatoon Airport (YXE) to provide ground service support to some of Canada’s best airlines.

In this role, you will ensure airline procedures are followed in line with Transport Canada regulations, drive and operate ground service equipment, and marshall or wing-walk aircraft to the gate. You will sort, load, and offload guest baggage, deliver it to the claim area, and service aircraft water and lavatories.

You will inspect ramp areas for debris, groom aircraft cabins and galleys, and restock lavatory supplies. This position reports directly to an amazing Shift Lead who is there to support you, working in a fast-paced environment where going above and beyond is part of your DNA.

Requirements

  • Personal flexibility to work shift work which includes early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Ability to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel, and push and pull for extended periods of time
  • Physical ability to consistently lift up to 70 lbs (32 kg)
  • Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather
  • Must wear safety wear – steel toe boots (green patch), reflective vest, and hearing protection
  • Ability to meet all conditions of employment: Transport Canada Restricted Area pass, criminal background check, valid driver's license with clean drivers abstract

Responsibilities

  • Ensure airline procedures are followed in line with the rules and regulations of Transport Canada
  • Drive and operate ground service equipment
  • Marshall and wing-walk aircraft to gate
  • Sort, load, and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plan
  • Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
  • Service aircraft water and lavatories
  • Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove or dispose of when found
  • Groom aircraft – clean whole cabin, galleys, and lavatories, and restock lavatory with supplies
