Flight dispatchers perform all flight planning necessary for safe operations and supervise flights throughout the journey.

Flight dispatchers ensure aircraft are prepared efficiently using operational planning tools and electronic systems. They maintain contact with aircraft and service providers. Responsibilities include preparing dispatch documentation and sharing safety oversight with the captain.

Dispatchers analyze meteorological information to identify hazards, select economic routes, and evaluate weather at departure, arrival, and alternates. They prepare flight plans with takeoff weights, NOTAMs, and field conditions. Fuel computations account for aircraft type, distance, weather, and regulations.

Flight dispatchers report to the OCC Manager in the Flight Operations Department. They coordinate with air traffic control, air safety, and agencies for smooth fleet operations. The role involves monitoring flight progress and ensuring post-flight compliance.

The Flight Dispatch Office is at LEVEL's OCC in Barcelona headquarters. This position requires flexible working hours and shift work system due to 24/7 flight operations. LEVEL commits to exceptional customer experience and top-notch service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years as an ETOPS dispatcher
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Team player with flexible and proactive attitude
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Spanish: B2/C1; English: B2/C1

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the flight dispatch documentation
  • Share responsibility with the captain for the safety and operational control of flights
  • Analyze and evaluate meteorological information to determine potential hazards and select the most desirable and economic air route
  • Prepare flight plans containing maximum allowable takeoff and landing weights, weather reports, field conditions, and NOTAMs
  • Update the pilot in command on significant changes to weather or flight plan and recommend alternates
  • Compute the amount of fuel required for safe completion of flight according to aircraft type, distance, weather, and regulations
  • Monitor weather conditions, aircraft position, and navigation charts to evaluate flight progress
  • Coordinate with air traffic control, air safety department, and relevant agencies
