As a Crew Controller at SAS, you step straight into the heart of daily operations in the Operations Control Center (OCC). Your decisions ensure the right crew is in the right place at the right time across SAS Scandinavia, SAS Link, and SAS Connect. Monitor KPIs, secure qualifications, and coordinate recovery to reduce unmanned flights.
Work closely with OCC functions like Crew Management, Roster Maintenance, Crew Support, Training Planning, and Resource Planning. The team ensures safe, punctual operations in a dynamic environment. Collaboration drives stable daily operations and effective disruption management.

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience from operational airline environments or similar complex, real-time operational organizations
- Experience in crew control, crew planning, operations control, or equivalent roles
- Strong understanding of regulations, collective agreements, and internal policies related to flight operations and staffing
- Strong IT proficiency and confidence working in operational systems (experience with CMS or similar tools is an advantage)
- Post-secondary education in aviation, logistics, operations management, or equivalent relevant professional experience
- Fluency in English and at least one Scandinavian language (Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish), written and spoken
- High integrity and strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to manage multiple parallel tasks in time-critical, high-pressure situations
Responsibilities
- Continuously optimize planned crew resources focusing on safety, quality, punctuality, regularity, and cost efficiency
- Develop and implement solutions to short-term operational disruptions, traffic disturbances, and ad hoc schedule changes
- Minimize the impact of irregularities on crew through effective tracking, system usage, and decision making
- Safeguard compliance with Operations Manuals, collective agreements, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor KPIs, proactively identify improvement areas, and support performance development
- Secure crew qualifications and training execution for cabin and flight deck crew to avoid productivity loss
- Monitor deviations from released schedules and coordinate recovery actions to reduce unmanned flights
