About this role

Responsible for planning and maintaining a safe and efficient flying programme in accordance with regulatory Flight Dispatch requirements. This role ensures all company flights operate safely and legally, considering payload estimation, MEL/CDL, ETOPs, and operating environments. Flight dispatchers play a critical part in aviation operations.

Prepare timely Crew Briefs with flight plans, weather, NOTAMs, and other vital information for safe operations. Monitor Operations and Flight Following Systems, maintaining weather and NOTAM watches while alerting crews to changes. Track aircraft deviations and escalate losses through Flight Following.

Monitor ATC slot times, explore reroute options for delays over 15 minutes, and revise plans during disruptions. Recommend adjustments to daily aircraft allocations for regulatory compliance and optimization. Work in a complex technical environment with 24/7 shift rotations.

Engage in disruption recovery planning to uphold schedule integrity within safety and cost limits. Review take-off and landing performance for each flight. Join a young, vibrant airline certified as a Great Place to Work in the dynamic aviation world.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Airline Operations/Airport management
  • Flight Dispatch license or attended initial flight dispatch course
  • At least 1 year experience in airline, airport or ground handling operational environment
  • Familiar with crew, schedule and engineering limitations and impacts
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google software; familiarity with Navtech systems advantageous
  • Comfortable working in a complex technical environment
  • Able to work in a 24/7 shift rotation environment

Responsibilities

  • Plan safe and legal flights for all company flights, including payload estimation, MEL/CDL, ETOPs requirements and operating environment considerations
  • Prepare timely Crew Briefs including flight plan filing, weather, NOTAM and other information for safe operations
  • Monitor and update Operations system and Flight Following System
  • Maintain weather and NOTAM watch and alert crew to relevant changes
  • Alert and escalate unexpected deviations or loss of aircraft tracking through Flight Following
  • Monitor ATC slot times and explore reroute options for delays exceeding 15 minutes
  • Delay flight plans and revise ATC slots during programme disruptions
  • Recommend and adjust allocations for daily aircraft programme to facilitate regulatory or optimised planning
