Pacific Aviation is looking for Aircraft Dispatchers to join our Los Angeles International Airport flight operations team. Responsible for the safety and execution of assigned flights, dispatchers prepare computerized flight and ATC plans for international, trans-Pacific, and Atlantic flights. They provide full weather and operational briefings to flight crews while analyzing NOTAMs and ATC data for safe operations.

Dispatchers collaborate and partner with fellow team members to ensure uninterrupted flight operations and foster a positive work environment. They complete, submit, and deliver all assigned reports in a timely manner to keep flights on schedule. Compliance with airport regulations and airline requirements is essential.

Requirements

  • FAA Flight Dispatch License (mandatory requirement)
  • Knowledge of flight planning software such as SITA, ARINC, LIDO, Jeppesen, SABER
  • Ability to complete airline-specific training
  • Several years of experience conducting flight operations or utilizing flight operations systems in a similar capacity (such as being a pilot)
  • Leadership and team management experience (a plus)
  • Advanced education (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and execution of assigned flights
  • Prepare and file computerized flight and ATC plans for international, trans-Pacific, and Atlantic flights
  • Provide full weather and operational briefings to flight crews
  • Analyze weather, NOTAMs, and ATC data to ensure safe operations and compliance with airline SOPs
  • Collaborate with fellow dispatchers to ensure uninterrupted flight operations and a positive work environment
  • Complete, submit, and deliver all assigned reports in a timely manner to ensure on-schedule departures
  • Ensure compliance with airport regulations and airline requirements
