About this role

Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically and quietly carries passengers over congested city streets. At Joby Aviation, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009. We're now in final stages of FAA certification, scaling manufacturing, and preparing commercial service launch in the US and Dubai.

This Senior Maintenance Engineer role focuses on developing and implementing the comprehensive Maintenance Program for new aircraft projects. You will lead program strategies, conduct MSG-3 engineering analysis, and collaborate with design teams to ensure maintainability and achieve type certification.

Work closely with design organization members to meet maintenance team needs, feeding field information back into design. Coordinate maintenance task types for assigned chapters, including airworthiness limitations and recommended maintenance. Guide efforts impacting maintenance like troubleshooting and aircraft performance analysis in a dynamic environment.

Play a crucial role in Joby Maintenance Program development, supporting initial type certification and recurring revisions. Carry out on-aircraft task validation and knowledge transfer to junior team members. Join as we scale for commercial service launch.
