Are you ready to launch a career in aviation? As a Ground Handler with Executive Aviation, you will provide essential ground service support to some of Canada's best airlines at Halifax Stanfield International Airport. This role is perfect for someone who loves airplanes and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Day to day, you will drive and operate ground service equipment, marshal and wing-walk aircraft to the gate, and sort, load, and offload guest baggage following load plans. You will also deliver baggage to the claim area, service aircraft water and lavatories, and groom aircraft cabins, galleys, and lavatories to keep them clean and stocked.

You will report directly to a supportive Shift Lead and work alongside a strong team that values reliability and flexibility. The work requires physical stamina, including standing, lifting up to 70 lbs, and working outside in all weather conditions—all while wearing required safety gear.

Requirements

  • Personal flexibility to work shift work including early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel, and push/pull for extended periods
  • Physical ability to consistently lift up to 70 lbs (32 kgs)
  • Willingness to work outside in all types of weather
  • Must wear safety wear: steel toe boots (green patch), reflective vest, and hearing protection
  • Ability to meet all conditions of employment: obtain a Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean drivers abstract

Responsibilities

  • Ensure airline procedures are followed in line with Transport Canada rules and regulations
  • Drive and operate ground service equipment
  • Marshal and wing-walk aircraft to the gate
  • Sort, load, and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plans
  • Deliver guest baggage to the claim area and unload onto the conveyor system
  • Service aircraft water and lavatories
  • Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove or dispose of when found
  • Groom aircraft by cleaning the whole cabin, galleys, and lavatories and restocking supplies
