The First Officer/Second in Command (SIC) supports the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft by assisting the Pilot in Command (PIC) in all flight duties. This role ensures compliance with company policies, Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and industry standards.

The SIC monitors aircraft systems, communicates with flight services, and ensures a seamless flight experience for passengers. Assist the PIC in planning flights with weather analysis, routing, performance calculations, and pre-flight inspections. Maintain high professionalism, safety awareness, and customer service throughout operations.

This position supports a Part 135 operation flying a Global 6000 based at Englewood, CO (APA), averaging 350 flight hours annually with 200 owner hours and 150 charter hours. The operation is crewed by 3 pilots and 1 aircraft maintenance manager, conducting international and domestic flights. Operate in a dynamic Part 135 and Part 91 environment supporting diverse mission profiles.

Engage in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) to identify and mitigate risks. Value integrity, collaboration, and accountability while building long-term careers in aviation. Participate in crew resource management for safe, efficient flights across the U.S. and internationally.

Requirements

  • 2500 total flight hours
  • Minimum of 1500 hours in multi-engine fixed-wing aircraft
  • Turbine experience
  • Proficiency in monitoring aircraft systems and navigation
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Part 135 operations
  • Ability to engage in Crew Resource Management (CRM)
  • High level of safety awareness and professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Support the PIC in planning and executing all flight operations, including weather analysis, routing, aircraft performance calculations, and pre-flight inspections
  • Monitor instrumentation and aircraft systems during all phases of flight
  • Operate navigational and communication radios as directed by the PIC, obtaining clearances and relaying instructions
  • Maintain crew coordination and communication through Crew Resource Management (CRM) and the Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Assist in pre-flight inspections and ensure the aircraft is clean, stocked, and ready with manuals, charts, and passenger items
  • Participate in post-flight procedures, documentation, safety audits, and emergency procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring their comfort and safety
