About this role

The First Officer/Second in Command (SIC) supports the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft by assisting the Pilot in Command (PIC) in all flight duties. This role ensures compliance with company policies, Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and industry standards. The SIC monitors aircraft systems, communicates with flight services, and delivers a seamless flight experience for passengers.

Assist the PIC in flight planning, including weather analysis, routing, aircraft performance calculations, and pre-flight inspections. Monitor instrumentation and systems throughout all flight phases while operating navigational and communication radios. Maintain crew coordination through effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) and active participation in the Safety Management System (SMS).

George J. Priester Aviation provides aircraft management, charter, maintenance, and flight operations in a dynamic Part 135 and Part 91 environment. The team supports diverse aircraft and missions across the U.S. and internationally with a commitment to safety and white-glove service. This G200 operation is crewed by two pilots and focuses on domestic flights.

The schedule offers 8 hard days off per month with average annual flight time of 350-375 hours, including 200 owner and 150-175 charter hours. Requirements

  • 1500 total flight hours
  • 1000 PIC hours
  • Minimum of 500 hours in multi-engine fixed-wing aircraft
  • Turbine experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the PIC in planning and executing flight operations, including weather analysis, routing, aircraft performance calculations, and pre-flight inspections
  • Monitor instrumentation and aircraft systems during all phases of flight and operate navigational and communication radios
  • Maintain crew coordination and communication through Crew Resource Management (CRM) and engage in the Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections, ensure aircraft is clean and stocked, and verify manuals, charts, and passenger items are onboard
  • Perform post-flight procedures and documentation
  • Respond to abnormal situations or PIC incapacitation by taking control of the aircraft
  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring their comfort and safety
