About this role

The Evaluator role involves technical evaluation, inspection, and workscope planning of aircraft components, assemblies, and systems in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment. This position ensures incoming and in-process components are correctly identified, evaluated, documented, and planned in compliance with OEM technical data, FAA regulations, EASA requirements, customer requirements, and company quality standards.

Perform detailed inspection and evaluation of aircraft components, accessories, and assemblies to identify discrepancies, defects, damage, wear limits, corrosion, and non-conforming conditions. Interpret and apply Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPCs), Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs), Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Engineering Drawings, and Airworthiness Directives (ADs).

Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Customer Program Management, and supply chain to ensure workscopes are technically accurate, cost-effective, and executable. Utilize ERP (Syteline) to enter discrepancy data, routing plans, material requirements, and track parts, processes, and labor. Employ Microsoft Office tools to analyze data and communicate with teams.

Make technical decisions on serviceability, repairability, part interchangeability, and substitutions based on approved data. Validate part numbers, serial numbers, modification status, and configurations. Know and understand Repair Station Manuals, company policies, safety procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Repair Station Manuals, company requirements, FAA regulations, EASA requirements, and customer requirements
  • Ability to interpret and apply CMMs, IPCs, SRMs, AMMs, SBs, Engineering Drawings, ADs, and OEM technical data
  • Proficiency in technical evaluation of aircraft components for serviceability, repairability, and substitutions
  • Experience validating part numbers, serial numbers, modification status, and configurations
  • Familiarity with utilizing ERP systems like Syteline for discrepancy data, routing, and material tracking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) for data analysis and communication
  • Understanding of company and department policies and safety procedures

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspection and evaluation of aircraft components, accessories, and assemblies
  • Know and understand the Repair Station Manuals to ensure inspections and evaluations follow company, regulatory, and customer requirements
  • Interpret and apply CMMs, IPCs, SRMs, AMMs, SBs, Engineering Drawings, ADs, and OEM technical data to generate workscopes, planning, reports, bill of materials, labor hours, and routing plans
  • Identify, verify, and document all discrepancies, defects, damage, wear limits, corrosion, missing data, incorrect configurations, and non-conforming conditions
  • Make technical decision-making to determine serviceability, repairability, part interchangeability, and approved substitutions
  • Validate part numbers, serial numbers, modification status, and configuration against technical documentation
  • Interpret and apply customer requirements from contracts, purchase orders, and airworthiness programs
  • Utilize ERP (Syteline) and Microsoft Office tools for data entry, tracking, analysis, and communication
