About this role

Air Transat is looking for Flight Dispatchers to join its dynamic team within the Flight Operations department. The role of a Flight Dispatcher is complex, demanding, and stimulating. You contribute directly to the safety and performance of flight operations every day.

If you enjoy analyzing, solving problems, and have strong planning and organizational skills, this role is for you. Flight Dispatchers ensure the safety and operational control of flights within a Type A operating system. They plan flights in a safe and cost-effective manner while monitoring weather conditions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (college or university education is an asset)
  • Successful completion of FD-OPS and FD-MET exams
  • Holding a restricted radio operator certificate
  • Holding a valid passport up to 6 months after the predicted date of hiring
  • Obtention of a restricted area identification card within three months following the date of hire
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is essential
  • Ability to work shifts including evenings, nights and weekends
  • Successful completion of a flight dispatch course is an asset
