About this role
Amentum seeks a First Officer/Co-Pilot as Pilot Second in Command (SIC) of B737-600NG aircraft in Las Vegas, NV. Pilot aircraft to transport passengers and cargo while ensuring safety of passengers, crew, cargo, and aircraft. Assist Pilot in Command (PIC) and take over role if PIC becomes incapacitated.
Manipulate aircraft controls as pilot flying (PF) and perform duties as pilot monitoring (PM) during operations. Review maintenance logs, planned route, weather reports, NOTAMs, and PIFs prior to flight. Comply with regulations, policies, and ATC directives while computing weight/balance and takeoff/landing data.
Work primarily in the cockpit of a jet aircraft, a cramped space with high noise, extreme temperatures, low humidity, and stress from emergencies or turbulence. Sedentary role with walking, bending, climbing, and control manipulation from seated position. Exposed to vibration, sensory bombardment, and environmental discomforts.
Maintain familiarity with FARs, AIM, FCOM, FCTM, QRH, SPM, and FOM. Sustain training and checking currency per company policy and 14 CFR Part 121. Participate in safety culture through training, emergency response, and quality compliance for customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- US DOD TS/SCI security clearance
- Current US DHS/TSA LAS airport badge
- Current US state-issued Driver’s License
- 1,500 total in-seat hours as crewmember in fixed-wing powered aircraft
- Current US DOT/FAA First Class Medical Certificate (with EKG if more than 39 years old)
- US DOT/FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with B737 Type rating and no restrictions
- Comply with US DOT 14 CFR Parts 60, 61, 67, 117, 120, and 121 including age 65 limit
- Maintain training and checking currency per Company policy and 14 CFR Part 121
