About this role

Boeing Global Services seeks an Experienced Part 21 Electrical/Avionics Engineer for its EASA Modifications team in Frimley, UK. The role supports certification of large aircraft modifications for global airline partners. Demonstrate compliance with regulatory and customer requirements defined in the Design Organization Handbook.

Report to the Electrical/Avionics Engineering Manager and collaborate with the global engineering services team across time zones. Lead design activities for electrical/avionic equipment changes in large aircraft modifications. Address certification and integration issues to ensure compliance.

Compile engineering documentation including wiring diagrams, wire routing installation drawings, service bulletins, and ICA supplements. Check certification documents such as electrical load analysis, test plans, compliance statements, and system safety assessments. Lead certification activities including on-wing test witnessing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree within Electrical/Avionics or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
  • Current or recent employment within the aerospace industry specifically working with an EASA Part 21J Design Organization
  • Previous experience as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) is advantageous
  • Knowledge of EASA Part 21 regulatory requirements for electrical and avionics systems
  • Experience with aircraft modification certification processes
  • Familiarity with electrical load analysis and EWIS assessments
  • Proficiency in compiling wiring diagrams and service bulletins for continued airworthiness

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Electrical/Avionics Engineering Manager and work with global engineering services team to identify requirements and solutions for projects
  • Lead and contribute to design activities ensuring compliance for electrical/avionic equipment and systems changes in large aircraft modifications
  • Lead certification activities to ensure regulatory compliance, including on-wing test witnessing
  • Compile and check engineering documentation including wiring diagrams, wire routing installation drawings, harness fabrication drawings, service bulletins, and ICA supplements
  • Compile and check certification documents including electrical load analysis, test plans and reports, compliance statements, system safety, equipment qualification, EWIS documents, and certification programmes
  • Act as Boeing representative during customer meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR, and FAI
  • Provide on-site support to customers during the embodiment phase of projects
