There is a job opening for Flight Dispatcher in the Flight Dispatch Department of Flight Operations. You will report to the Head of Flight Dispatch and prepare flight plans while providing important information to the flight crew.

As a Flight Dispatcher, you will plan and organize flight itineraries considering aircraft performance, weather conditions, and regulatory requirements. You will monitor current and forecasted weather to ensure safe operations and coordinate with pilots, ground staff, and other parties for timely departures and arrivals. Responsibilities include creating and revising flight plans based on fuel needs and alternate airports.

Work in an exciting and fast-paced environment at Athens International Airport, Building 57, Spata, where Flight Dispatch operates 24/7 in shifts. Maintain communication with air traffic control and ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies. Provide real-time support to flight crews on weather updates and route changes.

Requirements

  • Flight Dispatcher certification or equivalent license
  • Knowledge of aviation meteorology and weather analysis
  • Understanding of aircraft performance characteristics
  • Familiarity with flight planning procedures and software
  • Awareness of EASA or relevant aviation regulations
  • Ability to interpret NOTAMs, SIGMETs, and airspace restrictions

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize flight itineraries, taking into consideration aircraft performance, weather conditions, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and analyze current and forecasted weather conditions to ensure safe and efficient flight operations
  • Coordinate with pilots, ground staff, and other relevant parties to ensure timely departures and arrivals
  • Create and revise flight plans as necessary, considering fuel requirements, alternate airports, and any other relevant factors
  • Provide real-time support to flight crews, offering updates on weather, route changes, and any other relevant information
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with air traffic control and other relevant authorities
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies
